Is That A Snake In The Road?

During my travels this week, I was driving down a two lane highway in the middle of the desert and I saw this object laying in the road. At first, I thought it was a board or a stick as it was laying completely straight and flat on the ground. As I maneuvered my car to avoid hitting it, I saw the "stick" curl up into a ball. I stopped off to the side of the road and said to myself, 'Was that a snake in the middle of the road'? So, I decided to turn around and check it out and sure enough, it was a snake. I am not anywhere close to being a fan of snakes but my daughter likes them, so I had to summon up my courage and get a shot for her. Thanks for taking a look.

I agree with Jim, I am not a big fan of snakes. If I had seen it and decided to take a pic, I certainly would hope I had my telephoto lens so I could keep my distance. Nice job.
Experience is a difficult teacher, it tests first and teaches after.
