    Re: Critque Please :)

They look pretty well exposed to me. I don't know exactly what your settings were, but you might try a slightly longer shutter speed to bring out the color in the sky a bit more. I was playing with something similar just the other night myself.

Ah the beauty of using a tripod. I promise myself constantly to become good friends with mine.
Yes I think both your photographs are great. The silhouettes make this quite dramatic and appealing. Perhaps a tone or two lighter would have been interesting to see. Thank you for posting. Keep on snapping

    Re: Critique Please :)

Silhouette shots are beautiful. You do not have to really go out and try again. With a little post processing, you can increase the exposure, saturation and vibrancy a little and get some minor improvements.

Now, what I would try differently to make your top pic a little more unique (because I have the equipment), is that I would place strobes with green gels over them, on lightstands and hit only the tops of the trees (the green areas) with a TOUCH of light from 3-4 angles so that the green would be coming out a little in the pics... but that's me.

I think you did a nice job in both pictures, especially since this is your first time!

Lisa - I would also bracket this shot and try HDR. Good job on the silouhette.
