Please tell me what you think of this. It was a candid bridal shot. Here is SOOC and then with contrast.

I like the photo with contrast better. The colors look more rich. Nice for a candid shot
Got to agree shot with most contrast and sharpness stands out to me.

Nikon D5100.
Technically the second one is better, but the composition could be improved a little as well. If I may comment:
There is some wasted negative space above her head and her dress (an important aspect to a bride), on the bottom is cropped out. The angle is close to ok, if a little too much to the side. Her expression is nice, however she is not looking enough towards you to make a connection with the viewer.
Finally, the way it is cropped doesn't lend itself easily for usage in a frame or slideshow.

Thanks for the comments. I like the contrast better. For Jerryph I had a question for you? The original photo had pews and other windows in it. I cropped these out thinking they were too distracting, should I kept them in?
In a compositional element, if it adds to the picture, leave it in, if it is distracting or not pertinent to the picture, remove it.
A lot depends on what the picture will be used for. If it was for a 4 X 6 picture, it may not be possible to crop out and a pew is often a nice way to define the location of where the pic was taken. As it looks now, it could have just as easily been taken in someone's nice big living room with a candelabra.
In the end, needs, both artistic and intrinsic, will define whether an element is in a picture or not.
