This is the same shot, just cropped differently. I am still trying to get more sharpness with zoom. I feel these are sharper than my last Cockatoo shots. Please feel free to comment/critique as you please. The colours are as the camera took them.

Hi Owen, thanks for the comment. I live in the north of Sydney and we have lots of trees. This means often lots of birds. It is now Autumn here, and flocks of these Cockatoos come to feed from the native trees.
This one was taken in a tree just in my front yard.

    Re: Another Cockatoo

You are so right, these are much sharper and better composed. We have to see these in a zoo...can't imagine being able to see them in my front yard. Course, I had a wild turkey on my deck tonight but couldn't get past her to get in the house for a camera. I've had a bull, deer, skunks, ground hog and fox but no cockatoo's.

What a great thing it must be to have such birds to photograph Kaye. Good captures.

    Thanks Joseph & Mary,
    I will just keep practising.
I do love having all these birds around. We also have many parrots of different colours but they normally fly away when you try to get a shot.
Mary, round your house sounds a bit like a zoo! We also get possums, and the occasional wild turkey.

Great shots Kaye. I particularly like the contrast of colours in the first two shots. It must be great to have such beautiful wildlife just outside the door!
