So I had a look and thought to myself, "i could fix this up in photoshop". A little adjust to the levels, rotate it so the shelf line was level, crop out the clock and the area below the shelf, a little more contrast.
So I did all that. Made it an ostensibly "better" pic technically. But when I looked at the two side by side, I prefered your original. All that editing had taken away the charm and spontanaity that are the perfect atmosphere for the subject matter.

thai is such a good picture and it could not be in color. That would jusdt take away from the subject

Thanks for that Sandra. My thinking behind the photo was to try and capture the era and the type of photo these camera's would have taken, Hence a B&W snapshot It appears that I might have done that.
