    Day's End

At the end of a hot day at the show, this looked like a good idea.

Sandy, I know nothing about horses, BUT what an amazing looking horse! Or... I should say what an amazing shot of an amazing looking horse. You have captured nice detail from that distance.

    Re: Day's End

Agreed... I also like the title (seriously). It sets the viewer up to view what's going on. The horse looks as
though it's the end of a day. The gentleman washing of the day's residue, the shadowing of the end of
a day.... looks fantastic. The black and white finish is really convincing too.

    Hi Kaye,

Many thanks for your impressions....I had great fun wandering "behind the scenes".
So glad you like the shot!

    Hi Joseph,

Thanks so much for your thoughts on the B+W.....I didn't mind the color version, but I'm glad you agree that the B+W brings out the mood of the scene.

    Hi Doug,

That's what struck me when I came upon this scene....the day was busy and hot,
and afterwards, you could see the horses appreciating some down time. I'm
glad you like the B+W....thanks so much for your encouraging words.

Great shot Sandy & fantastic detail on the horse. I think B&W probably brings out these details more than colour would. Love it.

Great shot Sandy. I think the choice of B&W really works well here. I think if the horse had been darker, it just wouldn't have worked. I love the detail on the horse and the overall mood. Great job.

    Thanks Shirley,

I so appreciate your thoughts. Glad you think the B+W works well.

    Thanks Denise,

I'm so pleased you like this....yes I got lucky with the white horse...I agree a darker horse wouldn't have been as dramatic for B+W.

    Hi Sandra,

Thank you very much for your comments....isn't it just so fun when things work out?? Horses are my first love......now it's up to me to show that to the viewer.
