These are a few photos I took last summer during a walk around St James Park. All aperture priority. Kit lens 18 -55mm. Edits mainly levels, contrast and vibrancy.

Really lovely series of shots Shirley. This is an unusual little bridge and like your composition in these. I love the detail of the reflection of the railing in the water.

I particularly like No. 4 with the framed / leading lines effect leading to the buildings (castle??) in the background.

Lovely series Shirley! I love each one....the leaves in the foreground of the first are so beautiful along with the reflections. I love the pidgeons in the foreground in the next. Three and four are also so well done.....great leading lines in 4! Thanks for sharing these!

Beautiful as usual Shirley, I am taken by the second as you have all the people on the move along the bridge and all the pigeons on the move in the foreground…seems like all of them have somewhere they need to be.

All are beautifully composed but the fourth is my favourite…nice strong lead in with the river, beautiful balance between the smaller trees on the right over to the taller trees on the left with nice soft reflections in the water, all leading to a well placed set of buildings in the background. I love how the buildings are prominent but don’t dominate the scene and the eye just follows the river nicely to them.

Hi Kaye thank you for your observations. My eye was definitely caught by the bridge and it's reflections & I took numerous of these trying for different compositions. I'm not sure what the buildings are in #4 but they do look castle like which is what appealed to me.

Real nice set of images. If I had to choose #3 is my fav... but only by a very short head from the rest. Excellent !!
