The duck is beautiful with that bright green head but that green grass is to die for!I want to see some of that here. We warmed up in the 40's yesterday for the first time in almost a month and now we have dirty, slushy gunk...and what is under it is not green by any means...more snow coming Tues. and then more on Thurs...I feel like we moved to the Arctic.

Mary I know how you feel. I heard that Alaska is a beautiful place and I now feel like I live there without the beauty, of course. Sorry I think where we live is just B O R I N G!
Trust me, that weekend it had rained quite heavy and the remainder of the grass was a muddy mess! The ducks didnt help either as they would dig their beaks into the mud hunting for worms I persume.

Mary and Sue -
Me three!! Last weekend we froze our ______ off and couldn't bear the thought of going outside unless we looked like Nanook of the North. Today I was out without a jacket.
Two weeks ago at photo club, a visiting photographer presented a slideshow of Alaska - very breathtaking!! One of the places on my list to see before I die - right now, I'm not dying until I'm 150.

People say the same thing about the desert. When we lived in Nevada, shutterbugs from around the world flocked to the desert. The locals (most of 'em) thought they were "a buncha nuts takin' pitchers of nuthin' but dust and sagebrush." They looked right past the obvious.

Very good point Gary. We often overlook what is on our doorsteps.
