Thanks for the very nice reply coatesy. Portraiture is all about people. You have to have a love for people and their trust. Learn the basics of photography, practice with your friends and family. See images that you like and try to recreate them. Soon you'll find what you like and what works for you. To be honest, all I have is an understanding of photography, lighting and people. I'm sure with practice, you can be doing the same thing in no time. Photography is more of a craft than an art. The course here with Proud will give you the basic tools to start you off on a wonderful journey. Best of luck and let me know if I can help your photography.
